The First Meeting
It was raining that Sunday morning at the local café. I was rushing in when we both reached for the last umbrella in the stand. Our hands touched, and we laughed at the coincidence. Instead of arguing, he suggested sharing it. During our walk, we discovered we both loved indie bookstores and Thai food. The rain stopped, but we kept talking for hours. Later, he confessed he had his own umbrella all along – he just wanted an excuse to talk to me.
The First "I Love You"
We were stargazing on his rooftop, wrapped in blankets during a meteor shower. Between counting shooting stars and sharing childhood dreams, the words slipped out naturally. No grand gestures or planned speeches – just a quiet moment when our hearts felt too full to hold it in anymore. He turned to me, smiled, and said it back before I could even worry. The stars seemed to shine brighter after that.
The Proposal
He recreated our first date, down to the smallest detail – same café, same table, even ordered the same drinks. But this time, when I reached for the sugar packet, I found a ring instead. He said he knew from that first rainy day that we'd end up here. Through happy tears, I noticed he'd brought that same umbrella with him. Some things really do come full circle.
